Grand Championship Completed (Live Results on X)

Season 2 Rules

Season 2 Rules:

  • Scheduling
    • The intent of the schedule is to ensure a relatively even number of matches (including home/away) for all contestants. All contestants will be included in at least 21 matches (most more than 25), but no more than 30.
    • All contestants will face each of their conference opponents once. Intra-conference record will be used to determine the regular season conference champion and the seeding for the conference tournaments. The first tiebreaker will be head to head, and ties of more than two contestants will be decided by overall win percentage.
  • Simulation Logic
    • Matchups are decided by a randomly generated 20 sided die roll, with the required roll for victory based on the net differences in the ranking criteria relevant to the randomly selected battle type.
    • The away character always rolls, where a "1" is always a loss (CRITICAL FAIL) and a "20" is always a win (CRITICAL SUCCESS).
    • Battle types are listed below, with the relevant attributes in parentheses.
      • Divine Intervention (None)

  • Tournament Play
    • The Arena will pause for a few days after the completion of Season 2 (Beginning of March 2025). Conference records will be used for conference tournament seeding (with head to head records and overall winning percentage used as tie breakers).
    • Conference tournament winners and Tier A conference regular season winners (i.e., the #1 seed in the conference tournament) will be given automatic bids to the Grand Championship. For Season 2, there will be 16 conferences (9 Tier A, 7 Tier B), meaning there will be 16-25 official bids post-conference championships.
    • The remaining 39-48 contestants will be selected based on numerous factors, especially their performance against the very best characters (Quad 1) and the very worst (Quad 4). Our contestant pool will continually expand, but the 64-slot tournament will not, and we expect these selections to increase in excitement in future seasons.
    • The last titan standing will be crowned the Season 2 Grand Champion, and will be enshrined in the halls of legend.
  • Promotion and Relegation
    • The top five characters (as determined by the average of conference tournament, conference regular season, and overall regular season performance) in each conference (except for those already in Tier A) will be promoted to the next higher tier in Season 3.
    • The bottom five characters (same determining factors above) in each conference will be relegated to a lower tier in Season 3.
    • New characters introduced in Season 3 will start in a non-A tier, but they have the opportunity to climb the ranks based on their performance.
